Abstract

Special service education is a subsystem of school education that aims to provide wider learning opportunities for school graduates who are constrained by economic or geographical constraints. This study examines the management pattern of students in the special service education program of SMK PUI Cirebon City, including planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. A qualitative approach with case study design was used, with data obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that planning includes an analysis of prospective students based on capacity, junior high school graduates and economic conditions. The selection of students is less strict, followed by orientation and grouping based on origin and interests. The teaching and learning process uses the method of visiting students and visiting teachers, but it is less effective due to the constraints of geographical location and different settlements.
