Peer Review Process

INTERES: Journal of Interdisciplinary and Integrated Research

INTERES: Journal of Interdisciplinary and Integrated Research applies a double-blind peer review process, meaning that the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential from each other to ensure academic objectivity and integrity.

Review Process Stages:

Initial Screening by Editors
All submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team to ensure alignment with the journal’s scope, completeness of administrative requirements, and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the initial criteria will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected without further review.

Plagiarism Check
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be checked for similarity using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism will be immediately rejected or returned to the authors for revision.

Peer Review Process
Manuscripts that pass the initial stages will be sent to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The review is conducted under a double-blind system to maintain neutrality and integrity in the assessment.

Review Outcomes and Recommendations
Reviewers will provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accepted without revision

  • Accepted with minor revisions

  • Major revision required and resubmission needed

  • Rejected

The editor will evaluate the review results and communicate the final decision to the author along with comments and suggestions from the reviewers.

Author Revisions
Authors are given a specific timeframe to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback. The revised manuscript will be reassessed by the editor and, if necessary, returned to the reviewers for a second round of review (re-review).

Final Decision and Publication
Once the manuscript is deemed suitable for publication, the editor will notify the author officially. The accepted article will proceed to final editing, layout, and publication in the scheduled journal issue.

Additional Notes:

  • The entire review process is estimated to take 4 to 8 weeks, depending on reviewer response time and the speed of author revisions.

  • The editorial board reserves the right to reject a manuscript at any stage if ethical violations or inadequate scientific quality are identified.
