Plagiarism

INTERES: Journal of Interdisciplinary and Integrated Research upholds high standards of publication ethics and scientific integrity. Therefore, all submitted articles will undergo plagiarism screening under the following conditions:

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the act of copying part or all of another person’s scholarly work without proper citation, including the reproduction of text, data, images, or ideas without attribution.

Plagiarism Screening

Each manuscript will be checked using the Turnitin anti-plagiarism software. The maximum allowable similarity index is 15%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the author(s) for revision or may be rejected.

Types of Violations

  • Direct Plagiarism: Verbatim copying without quotation or citation.

  • Improper Paraphrasing: Restating content from a source without proper attribution.

  • Self-Plagiarism (Auto-Plagiarism): Reusing one’s own previously published work without appropriate reference.

Sanctions and Handling

  • If plagiarism is detected before peer review, the manuscript will be rejected immediately.

  • If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted and publicly announced.

  • The author(s) may be blacklisted from submitting future articles to the journal.

Author Commitment

Authors must declare that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is free from plagiarism. An originality statement must be attached at the time of submission.
