Optimizing the Quality of Education Insights and Strategies for Madrasah Aliyah Mu'allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta

The quality of education in Indonesia is the main highlight, with the central role of teachers in determining the quality of education. This study aims to map the competence of teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Mu'allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and identify significant development needs. The qualitative case study method is used with data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that most teachers have good pedagogical competence, but require improvement in the use of technology. Scientific competence is quite solid, but it needs innovation in learning methods. Communication skills are considered good, but need further development. Teacher development requires continuous supervision, adequate learning facilities, regular meetings, and participation in training. The importance of teacher welfare as a crucial factor in improving the quality of education is recognized, demanding the provision of decent salaries and other incentives.
